We have created a video DVD entitled
DANCING CONTRAS

A 30 min. introduction to contra dancing that explains the structure and teaches the basic moves.  It's a great way to explain this dance form to newcomers and to friends (who never could understand exactly what it is that you do!)      Click for more info.

and ending with a weekend at Halsway Manor with Ian Jones calling and Rod Stradling & friends playing.

We will be based in the Lake District during the week -
walking the fells by day and dancing in the evenings.

We are sorry to have had to cancel the trip in October 2008; our local Trading Standards Office wants us to comply with regulations that were intended for commercial travel agents.  Which is fair enough but it makes it far too difficult for us to continue to organise these trips.   We would be happy to help anyone to organise a trip for themselves though.
